New Beers of Note:
Double Mountain - Molten Lava Double IPA
This is Hop Lava's bigger, meaner cousin -- a radiant orange-hued beer featuring more than six pounds of hops per barrel. The out-of-control hopping is barely balanced by a tight malt backbone and noticable alcohol notes. We used our Kolsch yeast on this one, which gives it a different type of fruitiness than the Belgian ale yeast used in Hop Lava.
Beyreuther - Landbier Munich Dunkel Lager
One of my favorite styles of beer. Roasty, well balanced with a clean finish. This beer is full bodied enough to carry you through the fall and winter, yet it's lighter finish enables you to enjoy it during the warmer spring and summer months. Truly a year round beer.
For a little giggle. The English translation of the Bayreuther Landbier description:
A beer from his own. Originally,
honest and full of character presents our country SHARES beer. A dark,
spicy beer can in Franconia with a hearty snack in a social atmosphere is not
lacking and dominating the uniqueness of the Frankish way of life. This
tradition also feel our Brauer.
The fine selection of roasted
barley malt Specialmalt and bright, and the spring-fresh water
Fichtelgebirgshalle give our country SHARES beer its typical character and his
fine malt flavor. Our experienced brewers make certain that it is after a
long fermentation and storage time balanced in taste and highly digestible to
the same.
Hop Lava is delicious!!
